1. Volunteer
Many of Ramakrishna Math service activities are executed by a combination of monastics, volunteers, and staff. About 70 regular staff and volunteers serve the Ashrama with dedication and devotion. The Ashrama offers ample opportunity for people with an earnest desire for serving the poor and the needy. Such selfless service helps to attain great heights in both material and spiritual life. Voluntary service can be rendered in any of the multi-functional areas of one’s expertise. It could be work from home, within the Ashrama precincts, or even outside the Ashrama premises.
The programs and day-to-day operation of our center is supported by the selfless service of our volunteers. Service may be offered through a Karma Yoga Day, but much needed work is performed outside of those group efforts.
Opportunities for service include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Temple Activities
2. Office
3. Staffing a Library
4. Conducting Medical Camps
5. Sunday Youth Camp
6. Ushering for Saturday & Sunday Spiritual Talks and public celebrations
7. Editing and uploading video and audio recordings
8. Clerical support
